Air Communion: In Honor of Breath

DUUF is exploring the tradition of honoring the four elements and four seasons through communion; we hold our annual Water Communion in September, a Fire Communion in January, and a Flower Communion in May.

Please join us for our first summer Air Communion facilitated by Daron Larson of Attentional Fitness Training.  We will consider the basic element of “AIR and the BREATH of LIFE.” Daron will help us focus on our breathing as a path to mindfulness and will lead us in a guided meditation dealing with impermanence. Coe Huckabee will be our host for the day and will consider the biology and physics of breathing as well.

Coffee and conversation will take place after the service.  Refreshment will be provided by Carolyn.

The service will be held at The Historic Campbell Home, 190 W. Winter St., Delaware, OH on the northeast corner of Elizabeth Street and West Winter Street. There is parking behind the building with handicap accessibility, as well as on the street.  Weather permitting, we may be outside on the grounds or across the street at Monnett Gardens.
