Fall Retreat & Quarterly Planning

NEW TIME — 10:30AM SERVICE – WE ARE NOW STARTING OUR SUNDAY SERVICES AT 10:30AM!

Please join us this Sunday for our Quarterly Service Planning and Fall Retreat on Conversations for Liberation.

Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray, UUA President, says “Together, we must dig deeper to advance our shared aspiration toward a Unitarian Universalism that practices the liberating values of our theology.” In order for our movement to hold together in these times, today’s UUs are challenged individually and collectively to find their faith anew. Thus we will be reflecting on and sharing responses to these three questions:

  • When is a time that you felt “the power of we” in DUUF and/or Unitarian Universalism?
  • What is so important in DUUF or Unitarian Universalism that you would be willing to sacrifice for it?
  • What will it take for DUUF to fully embody “the power of we”?

What is “the power of we”? The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, we are stronger together, an injury to one is an injury to all, we live in an inescapable web of mutuality–these are all valid perspectives in this conversation. Where might that discussion take us?

We are hopeful we can begin meeting in person. Location TBD. Stay tuned!

We are also hopeful we can simultaneously conduct our Sunday services in our Zoom room, which opens 15 minutes before the service begins.
