Glimpses of a New World

MLK had a dream of a more just society, he called the beloved community. Much public debate this past week about the difference between that dream and current reality. David Korten and the Great Turning. Paul Krugman and the Great Unraveling. (Even a great decoupling a couple decades ago.) What’s going on?

Unitarian Universalists, and many others, are actively working to dismantle all kinds of oppression and promote a diversely democratic society of equity and justice. Many more are pulling humanity back to the Earth in the midst of escalating climate crisis. There is plenty of work to do, and we’re not alone.
