The Intersection of Class & Race

Location: Willow Brook South, Delaware Room (Lower Level)

Tracy Nelson will look at some of the history of systemic racism in the United States that has led to oppression and disparities in wealth.  This presentation is based on a workshop from the UUA GA 2017 in New Orleans.  We will also talk about “Radical Hospitality,” a practice where all races and classes live together, and the hard work to bridge American’s social divisions.

Coffee And… will be available, plus there is the opportunity again this Sunday for buffet brunch in the dining room at 11:45. Country Fried Steak and BBQ Ribs are featured, and it’s all you can eat for $12. If you’d like to join us for brunch, please let us know by 11:30 Saturday morning, so we can make a reservation.
